About Me

Hey, I’m Shan — a 21-year-old tattoo artist.

Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started drawing when I was around 13, and I never really stopped. At first it was just a hobby, a way to escape and express myself, but over time those lines and sketches slowly turned into something much bigger.

In April 2024, I moved to Canada to start a new chapter. I didn’t come here expecting to become a tattoo artist right away — but I knew I wanted to do something creative, something that felt like me. With a lot of support from my dad (the person who always pushed me to keep creating), I finally stepped into tattooing.

I took things one step at a time. I spent months studying, practicing, drawing, and building the courage to take the next leap. By January 2025, I rented a small space in downtown Winnipeg and officially began my tattoo journey. It wasn’t perfect, and it wasn’t fancy — but it was mine, and it was the place where everything truly began.

My style naturally grew into fine-line, dark custom, and black-and-grey realism. I love the balance between softness and detail, simplicity and depth. One thing I really enjoy is taking someone’s words — a memory, a thought, a feeling — and turning it into a design they connect with. Translating ideas into art is where I feel most at home.

And here’s a fun fact most people are surprised by:
Even though I’m a tattoo artist… I don’t have a single tattoo on my own body.
I know — weird guy energy. But I guess everyone has their own pace and their own reasons.

During sessions, I love talking with my clients. Getting to know the person in the chair, hearing their stories, sharing my own — it makes the process feel human. And honestly, it’s the best distraction from the pain. I want people to leave not just with art, but with a good memory of the experience.

I’m still early in my journey, but every person who has trusted me with their skin, their ideas, and their time has played a part in helping me grow. I’m grateful for all of you.
